Het geluid werd niet meer teruggevonden: het luidsprekertje was en bleef doorstreept. Het opstarten met een oudere kernel lostte dit probleem per toeval op. kernel verwijderen als volgt, maar ik begrijp dit commando niet goed en weet niet zeker of het helemaal correct en zonder gevaar is: sudo apt-get remove linux-image-2.6.24-23-386 Note, please be careful! trying different things messed up the sound-system in some way. Volume has always been very low. I will try to set things right with this usefull information: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=5931543 http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=843012 Setting everything back to ALSA brings everything back to normal. But I cannot record the sound that is passing thru the soundcard.
